Headed back to Christchurch on Friday...finally, some good weather! We walked all over the city...even climbed up the tower of the Cathedral. Great view of the square. Tiny, twisty little staircase...(Mom- it reminded me of the tower we climbed in Astoria, OR! Brooke- it reminded me of St Paul's Cathedral)
The city really is a "little England". They even have punting on the Avon. The Avon runs through the city and into the botanical
gardens. Very pretty.
We decided to go along for the ride. Brooke- it's not as fun as having you do the punting...but the guy did an alright job. Actually, under one bridge we almost lost him...;)
On Saturday Dean found heaven. A really good IPA...not the first good one (the first was Epic in Queenstown)....but a good one. We sat in a sunny sidestreet that reminded us of the Pearl and drank beer.
Sunday it was off to Queenstown for action and adventure!
