Tassie Two....

I posted the blog before we actually left Tasmania. On our last day we headed back to Hobart. The weather cleared, so we decided to do the drive up to Mt Wellington, which is 1270m high. It was like flying in an airplane! The views were incredible.

At the very top it was like being on the moon....very cold and windy...we didn't last long!

The next morning we packed up for the airport and on our way out passed the harbor. There we saw the Bob Barker!!! For those unfamiliar with the Bob Barker...it was recently in the news for tangling with a Japanese whaler. My hero.....They are there to protect whales...

Note the skull and "crossbones". We also noticed that the sides of the boat are scarred up from ramming into the big whaling ships...for info check out http://www.seashepherd.org/news-and-media/news-100105-1.html

  1. Hey Kids,

I'm enjoying living vicariously through your blog.
When I saw you were in Hobart I wondered if you'd be able to see the recently returned Sea Shepherd vessels.
